About 100 people gathered in downtown London Wednesday, Jan. 9, to rally in solidarity with the Wet’suwet’en peoples in British Columbia.

The rally was in response to the arrest of 14 protesters by the RCMP at a checkpoint in northern British Columbia, where a massive liquid natural gas project is set to go through traditional Wet’suwet’en territory.

The 90-minute march involved music and speeches, and similar rallies were held across the nation in cities including Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.
