The London Fringe Theatre Festival – a local showcase of independent artists – had a sold-out opening night on Tuesday, May 29 at the Palace Theatre accompanied with excitement, joy, and an overwhelming sense of community.
I spoke briefly with a few of the performers before the show:
“This is a new experience for our group,” said the show openers, The Awesome 80’s Prom. “And it is challenging but it has brought us together and made us a family. We have so much support.”
The event allowed patrons to get a (strictly) two-minute taste of each performer’s act and decide which shows they’d like to attend over the festival which runs between May 29 – June 9 at the specific venues around London.
