It’s amazing what passes for art these days.
On Saturday, April 28, LondonFuse is opening their doors to celebrate the best of the worst the art world has to offer with the Bad Art Festival II.
Local creators will be showcasing all their dirty little secrets on our gallery walls – complete with questionable live performances and hack-worthy hands-on art stations – all while raising money for LondonFuse.
Make art. Break art. Take art.
The first Bad Art Festival in 2016 was a terrible success, and LondonFuse is looking to raise the bar and lower the standards with this year’s event.
The day is split into two programs – with the afternoon segment running 12-4 p.m. and our evening program beginning at 7 p.m. with dancing and drinks afterwards.
For the afternoon crowd, if you want to emulate to our flawlessly-flawed works on display, you are welcome to create your own masterpieces at the macaroni station (glitter will be provided), or try your hand at life drawing. Our daytime program also features an open mic beginning at 2:30 p.m.
Once the sun goes down, the intimacy gets turned up and you are invited to join an apprehensive audience for our evening of awkward live performance. Read a terrible poem, shoot a film that even a mother couldn’t love and have it shown to a captive crowd.
For every groan you elicit, an artist angel gets her beret.
Guffaws for the cause
All money raised through the event goes to ensuring LondonFuse can continue to offer new media training and hands-on experience to volunteers at absolutely no cost!
Submissions for the festival are welcome in all mediums.
If you have a guilty little art school secret taking up space in your basement because you can’t bring yourself to throw it out – the Bad Art Festival II can give you some wall space to send it off properly.
Likewise for that box full of bad poetry you’ve been lugging around. Unleash the angst on our open stage.
Remember – nothing is too terrible for BAF II.
Except, of course, all of it.
The straight deets…
