Courtney Snippe, Secretary
Courtney is so excited to join the Board of Directors for LondonFuse (or “the Fuse” as she likes to call it)!
She’s one of those girls that are sassy and classy with her particular brand of snip snap flair. With her she brings several years of marketing, sales, and social media experience of which will be integral to progress moving forward.
She has been lucky to experience a lot of what London has to offer. However, “the Fuse” gave her a new appreciation for the young, talented people here, those who dare to be different and dare to step outside of the conventional by sharing their message and craft.
It all started when Courtney joined us as part of the Job Creation Partnership which opened up so many doors for both parties. Now, she hopes to provide this organization with guidance that becomes growth and is looking forward to working with this amazing group!
Sammy Roach, Marketing Director
Sammy Roach first became enamoured of LondonFuse after coming across a random Weekend Guide. She jumped at the chance to become a volunteer contributor, joining the team in November 2015. Since then, she has contributed articles and photos covering subjects from comics to cat shows. In 2016, she became the cartoonist for the Short Fuse publication, contributing her comic strip, Tiny Whales.
In her day job, Sammy is a producer and editor with web.isod.es, a story studio in London that crafts authentic stories for social and interactive experiences. She is proud to have played a part in sharing the stories of incredible local organizations, including Youth Opportunities Unlimited, Mission Services of London, and the London Community Foundation, among others.
Sammy also volunteers with committees at Museum London, CrazyTalk, and is a Zine Fiend. In her spare time, Sammy doodles, journals, makes tea lattes, and watches a whole lot of TV. She also loves meeting fellow creative and community-minded folk, so don’t hesitate to find her somewhere on the internet or even in real life and have a chat!
Laura Thorne, Fundraising Director

A recovering librarian and current communications professional, Laura brings a depth of experience in research, writing, and marketing to the Board. She is excited to provide additional support in fundraising and development for LondonFuse so it can continue making London more awesome.
