Crouched behind a maddening tangle of looping stations and effect pedals, James Kirkpatrick made an appearance at The Black Shire Pub. Introducing himself to the crowd as "Gym Zsahib from down the street", he took the opportunity to display his newly created sound sculptures, which are somewhat in-between surreal children's toys and perplexing mechanical noise generators.

On Friday November 4th at the Michael Gibson Gallery, these sculptures will be featured as part of the Not Bad for London exhibition: a collaboration between James Kirkpatrick and other local artists Marc Bell, Amy Lockhart, Jason McLean, Jamie Q, Peter Thompson and Billy Bert Young.
