A few rotating edgy side-scrolling video games have been attempted but FEDGE looks like it could take the cake. Made by Montreal's Polytron, the game resembles old-school games but because of its 3D rotation departs a bit from tradition. What's really cool is that Polytron is now offering three tracks from the game for free download. If you like Atari glitch music then you'll love these very blippy tracks. Here's how you can get them:
As described by Polytron, the lead character, Gomez, "is a 2D man on a voyage of discovery into the mysterious 3rd dimension. Change your perspective and look at the world in a different way." The game will be offered through X-Box Live Arcade in early 2010. Be sure to check out Electric Playground's video on Polytron and FEDGE (previously known as FEZ). I'd also check out Polytron's slick blog.
- Download via BitTorrent (help save our bandwidth plz!)
- Download directly
- Or you can buy a nicely-packaged 8cm CDR from our store. Limited to 250 copies!
