Pedestrians and cyclists took over Dundas, between Wellington and Ridout, for four hours today apart of London's Car Free Sunday! The International Car-Free day typically happens on September 22nd. However, in an effort to participate in this year's World Health Day London decided to make Downtown London a people friendly space. The WHO (World Health Organization) directed their focus away from making people healthier via changes to diet and exercise and put the spotlight on how places can be made healthier for people instead. Considering that more than 50% of the human population now live within cities this makes more than good sense. London joined 800 cities who chose to participate in this event.
