What came first, the chicken or the egg?  This is one of those fun questions we like to say has no answer and just forget about it but in my reality there is an answer, it's just not either or.  On a recent trip to the Bay Area (San Francisco) I whitnessed one of the most progressive areas of the continent in action.  The question I ask is: what makes a progressive city?  Is it the civic leaders who build the right infrastructure and pass the right laws or is it an engaged citizenry who demand change?  Again, it's not either or, it's both and.  I hope these photos lend inspiration and direction to all you progressive Londoners hoping for some much needed change in our neck of the woods.
