Thursday at NXNE was jam packed with beers and bands. It started off nicely with a meet and greet at Sneaky Dee's where I was promptly handed drink tickets and a goodie bag. I bopped around the bar in the middle of the day (somewhat bizarre) and stuffed my face with Sneaky's food that I've never eaten earlier than 2am.
A band took the stage that looked no older than 17, which deemed to be true out of Hamilton called Harlan Pepper. These kids played a private show last week for Neil Young's Manager, and from what I hear he was very impressed. Name drop aside, this band is extremely talented for 18 years old. They definitely have a roots, folk kind of feel.
Apres the performance I wandered down Spandina and bumped into our London friends of Say Domino. From there we caught Rusty and Fucked Up @ Younge and Dundas Square. Back to Sneaky Dee's to see a phenomenal performance by METZ and DD/MM/YY. We rounded the night off nicely with a show with some familiar faces in Say Domino at Rancho Relaxo. Phew. What a day. Friday pictures to come!
