Ignite London
Attending London's first Ignite event, myself and others in attendance were treated to a series of 5 minute presentations covering topics that ranged topics from board games to the future of London and the psychology of horror films. Given in a rapid delivery format by people who are truly passionate about their topics, I had the opportunity to get a immense amount of knowledge in a very short period of time.
I think what made the event great is that it brought together members of the community that might not generally come together. Offering an evening of such diverse topics with great conversation pulled together some of the brightest minds in London.
A big thanks needs to go out to Gavin and Zoe for bringing this great event to London. Along with the support of rtraction, Gigs and Noah as the fantastic host, Ignite London (the talks, conversations & people) sparked the imagination, passion and energy in many of the attendees to do something different, perhaps not tomorrow, but one day.
Without a doubt this Ignite series will be a great success in London. Upon leaving Gigs last night I heard nothing but people talking about how they have something to share next time around. Keep an eye out over at www.ignitelondon.ca for details about the next event in October.
There was video taken of all of the presentations (not by me) and will be posted in the future.
