After a conversation between Andrea Halwa, Executive Director at The London Arts Council, Carol Kehoe, Partnerships Manager at Museum London, and Adam Caplan of web.isod.es the idea for an Un-Conference on Social Media for the Arts was born.
Titus Ferguson and Bill Deys from TJ & F Consulting, organizers of the very succesful PodCamp London, are on board as the event’s key organizers.
SMArts London will be a FREE “unconference” that will feature a full-day of sessions and discussions that seeks to connect artists (performing arts (theatre, dance, performance), visual (fine arts, photography, painting, etc.), multimedia (film & video, computer) and academic/curatorial artistic communities), art administrators and art dealers with the social media practitioners and enthusiasts who can help them understand the value, potential and benefits of new media.
