Last year we had the Polydactyl Hearts collective perform Le Cyc at the arts project. This November 6th they're returning with Le Cyc as well as their new project "Hello Adventure".
If you didn't see Le Cyc last time, it's a graphic novel+rock band. Drawings are projected and a live band plays and sings along to tell the story of a dystopian future run by bikes.
Their newest project, the award-winning Hello Adventure, was commissioned by Wavelength and debuted at the Images Festival in April 2010. In a series of six shorts, Hello Adventure uses stop-motion animation and a live musical score to create a wildly imaginative world in which the basic structures of society have begun to unravel.
I highly recommend you come see both pieces, for only $8. Early show, so you can go party afterwards!
