Mary Stewart and The Danger Bees each play a half hour set at Grooves March 12th!

Friday, March 12th MARY STEWART and her pals THE DANGER BEES drop by GROOVES Records for an In-Store Concert at 3pm! They each play a 30 minute set!!

Here's what it says on www.myspace.com/marystewartmusic:

Growing up around a staggering record collection Mary developed an appreciation for music at an early age. By the time she was sixteen, Mary was in the studio with producer/songwriter George Canyon recording her first EP. Since this time she has shared the stage with such performers as Cindy Church, Murray McLaughlin, Bruce Guthro, Jill Barber, In-flight Safety, and Wintersleep. In May 2009 Mary independently released her full length record "Mary Stewart" which was nominated for 2009 Best Female Artist Recording with Molson Nova Scotia Music week, and her first music video for "Sweeter Than". To pass the time she has been keeping busy touring, and writing a song a day- http://cupcakerecord-asongaday.blogspot.com Mary Stewart has her roots in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Armed with her own charming brand of pop-driven folk music, as well as her cat, Mary Stewart will keep you captivated and smiling if you happen to catch her act.

About THE DANGER BEES:
Hailing from Dartmouth, the underdog capital of NS, The Danger Bees are a DIY indie pop group with a quirky live show and a focus on pop song writing.

Since releasing their debut LP, Fight Fire With Failure ("13 Tracks that will leave your heart aching and booty shaking" - The Coast), they've been featured on CBC, Q104, and done well on campus radio shows across Canada and the U.S.

Notable performances include sharing the bill with The Lodge, Paper Lions, Sam Moon, The Monoxides, and several others.

"The songs are melodic, cleverly written, and laced with a kind of self-deprecating humour that can draw you in if you give them the chance." - Herohill.com

"Countless great ideas in every song." - Luther Mallory (Crush Luther, Canadian Musician Magazine)
