Growing up around a staggering record collection Mary developed an appreciation for music at an early age. By the time she was sixteen, Mary was in the studio with producer/songwriter George Canyon recording her first EP. Since this time she has shared the stage with such performers as Cindy Church, Murray McLaughlin, Bruce Guthro, Jill Barber, In-flight Safety, and Wintersleep. In May 2009 Mary independently released her full length record "Mary Stewart" which was nominated for 2009 Best Female Artist Recording with Molson Nova Scotia Music week, and her first music video for "Sweeter Than".
