The APK Live and I will be hosting my b-day fundraiser on Sunday November 20th. I'll not disclose my age, but I'll let the grey hair lend its suspicions to the antiquity of my bones.

Why a furdraiser? Well I have something or other known as a hernia. Contrary to the hype...rbolic wisdom of children, a hernia is not the result of ones penis falling off or out or anywhere other than where it should be. I'll let you investigate further, if you'd like, here -

The operation at a clinic in T.O. is roughly $800 and includes the operation, a 3 night stay and recovery period, food, etc. Hence the fundraiser.

The following artists have been kind enough to offer up individual works for me to use for the silent auction portion of the fundraiser.

INHABITANTS (Vancouver)

http://www.dripaudio.com/releases.php?release=26

Formed in 2004, Vancouver's Inhabitants have ascended to become one of Canada's most prominent creative music ensembles. In 2009, Inhabitants were nominated for a Juno Award for 'Instrumental Album of the Year', a National Jazz Award for 'Electric Group of the Year' and a Western Canadian Music Award for 'Instrumental Recording of the Year'! Their singular approach defies genre, melding jazz, rock, noise and free improvisation with new perspective. Trumpeter JP Carter, guitarist Dave Sikula, bassist Pete Schmitt and drummer Skye Brooks find a rare cohesiveness in Inhabitants, cultivated from years of musical collaboration in groups like Fond of Tigers, Copilots, Carsick, DarkBlueWorld, The NOW Orchestra and Tony Wilson's 6tet.

AEROPLANE TRIO (Vancouver)

http://www.dripaudio.com/releases.php?release=31

Aeroplane Trio use a conventional acoustic jazz setting as a platform for their improvisations and compositions. Twisting and contorting their instruments, nothing is sacred in creating the trio's unique sound. JP Carter (trumpet/cornet), Russell Sholberg (bass/saw) and Skye Brooks (drums/percussion) have found a common sensibility; they make music both delicate and combustible, strange and beautiful.
