London's main TV station, /A\ Channel, is catching on to this newfangled internet thing. On election day tomorrow, they'll be incorporating social media into their election coverage. I'm honoured to be a part of the team that'll be monitoring and reflecting the collective consciousness of the online world during the broadcast, and here are some details on how to take part.
Twitter: Use the following hash tags if you're chatting about the election in London: #anewsvote, #elxn41, and/or #ldnont. Also, follow @atvnewslondon and/or the social media team: me: @phronk, @StuartClark, @CarmiLevy, and @impressionone.
Facebook: Like Canada Votes and post to the wall tomorrow. We'll be following along there.
Tumblr: We've got a group tumblog rolling: /A\ London Election Internet Cafe.
Blogging: If you have blogged or do blog about the election, let us know through one of the methods above. Carmi, myself, Jay Menard, and ImpressionOne already have posts up.
There you go, lots of ways to get involved. Get social with your media tomorrow, and you might see yourself on TV.
Oh, and I promise, I'll be doing what I can to make the coverage raw, genuine and entertaining rather than the sanitized political bullshit you normally see.
