Clark and Marion will be performing Beethoven’s first symphony and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. It is a piano duet program. This is their kickoff to performing all nine of the Beethoven symphonies in the next year. It’s not often that one gets to hear a live performance of the Beethoven Symphonies as a cycle and even rarer as a piano duet. These concerts will bring back the once popular way of enjoying orchestral music at home with the piano duet arrangements. This was more common before recordings made it possible to do this on the phonograph in the 20th century.
