Calling all Youth with Creative and Performing Arts Talent – Starting July 5th Submit an Online Audition by Uploading Your Talent Rendition Video at http://mindyourmind.ca/community/mashup

mindyourmind issued a call for online talent auditions for their International Youth Day Mash Up Challenge. Youth are asked to submit their unique talent auditions online - Singing, dancing, comedy, any talent you can think of. From the audition pool, the acts that generate the most facebook likes and tweets will advance to a live performance portion of the competition. Finalists will compete live August 12th at The Wolf Performance Hall in London ON, and will be assessed on their natural ability, quality of performance, stage presence, and audience rapport, all in the hopes of taking home some great giveaways and a grand prize of cold hard cash!
“International Youth Day is about full and effective participation of youth in all aspects of society”, said Maria Luisa Contursi, Program Director, at mindyourmind. “This event is an exciting way to showcase the creative and performing arts talents of youth in our communities.”

Auditions can be uploaded now, and voting ends August 2.

“Social Media voting is a fun way to create a buzz around the auditions and a unique way to engage the performers peers” says Brian Blatnicki, Social Media Strategist at mindyourmind “. “In order to make the cut, the submitters are encouraged to gain votes by promoting their act to their friends via facebook and twitter. We're excited to see the results."

The host and judges for the Aug. 12th live portion of Mash Up Challenge will be announced in the coming weeks.
