Chronology: July 2009: - Guitarist David Ian Gilbert forms The Hostile Cosmos in reaction to an insulting conversation. - David’s fiancé Jaime takes on bass and co-vocal duty. Josh Peters Takes on drumming and back vocals. - A sound manifesto is made: Heavy Psych, Garage, and some Folk Rock. Taking their influences from: The Stooges, Blue Cheer, Captain Beyond, Sell-Out era Who, Thee Headcoats, Pink Fairies, 13th Floor Elevators, The Byrds, Flat Duo Jets, Comets On Fire, Radio Moscow, Awesome Color, Big Star, (early) Grand Funk, The Move and Cactus. September 2009: - Begin rehearsing. October 2009: - Record 3 songs, but are unhappy with the outcome. January-March 2010: - Begin recording debut 8 Song E.P. Black Deltas - Start playing live.
