Author Monda Halpern speaks about Farms and Feminism

Author Monda Halpern will speak about her book "And on That Farm He Had a Wife: Ontario Farm Women and Feminism, 1900-1970".

The author suggests that farm women adhered to social feminism, focusing on values that promoted a solidarity informed by their roles as both wives and unpaid farm labourers. Monda Halpern is professor of history at The University of Western Ontario. Her book will be for sale.
