Doom Tickler (Toronto)
Doom Tickler’s new material is “phreeking the beat with goosepimply processed vocals pitched somewhere between Black Dice, black metal and Sméagol. Of their four songs on the cassette, “School Jungle Mud Pool” is the standout, with its demon-possessed singsong melody, squelching synths and jackhammer rhythms resulting in the most hellish Acid House since Love’s Secret Domain”.
Doom Tickler uses powers for the applications of the sound energies. She enjoys rubbing metal together and the smell it makes. She uses dirty toys and garbage to channel the power chakras to the parts of the body—The present and future of our mother earth!

Mikey Maybe (Edmonton)
Mikey Maybe gets it, okay?
He understands that his knotted rhymes and truthy narratives won’t make him
happy with himself, no matter what kind of 8bit-slush-covered
drummachine-idolatry he solders together behind them. He realizes that
weeping on stage into a warming glass of cranberry juice isn’t exactly
“funny” to everybody, even if his sisters laugh every time. He knows he’s
been a little short with you lately, and he’s sorry. Things are just a tad
stressful at school, and at the group home where he works. The kids call him
names. So you see, it might all just be attention-seeking behavior. (Mikey Maybe is an Edmonton-based indie-rap whiz kid signed to the
Edmonton-based brain-suck known as Old Ugly.)

Thesis Sahib (London)
Thesis Sahib has been contributing to the underground hip hop movement for the past fifteen years, both as an innovative rapper and a well known graffiti artist. His articulate, rapid-fire delivery, harmonic vocals and imaginative lyrics have graced an impressive catalogue of sought after releases on CD and vinyl. His art and music incorporate sculpture, kinetic, and auditory elements. Often combining both 2D aesthetic with circuit-bent electronic toys, compositions written on modified Gameboys, a face mask costume fitted with a heavily effected microphone and circuit-bent sounds have become part of his music and on-stage performances.
Thesis has toured North America and Europe several times performing with many well known artists such as, Antipop Consortium, Sage Francis, B Dolan, Buck 65, Busdriver, 2 MEX, Adeem, Swollen Members, Sweat Shop Union and the Shape Shifters.
