Tokyo Police Club are doing some really cool things in support of their new record, Champ. Not only does their new video feature a dozen awesome canis lupus familiarus, but you can donate a little money to get a download of the video and some singles to support ASPCA. That's sweet. Good for them.

What really catches one's eye is Tokyo Police Club's Champ Championship, happening in cities across Canada (that Tokyo Police are touring in). Anyone can challenge the band to anything at all, and you can even participate in your own challenge. They film it, put out a silly video, and it's fun.

Check out the first one:

More bands need to support their music and shows with additional content like this. It's such a simple thing: a small group of people tossing around water balloons in a park and some basic video editing. In 3:15, you see the personalities of the band members, develop a connection with the band, and feel like you're in on the fun. It's quick, quirky, and well done, and makes you immediately want to go check out more from the band.

Hopefully we'll see another challenge soon, and more bands coming up with creative ideas to expose not only their live music and records to the world, but their personalities.
