"Marky's crepes and waffles" is a new eatery on Richmond Row (directly beside the southmost Stobie's). They serve a wide variety of sweet and savoury crepes and waffles. We tried the "ice cream explosion" (an amalgam of fresh strawberries, bananas, whipped cream, ice cream, syrup and flax seeds inside a generously-sized crepe) and the "crunchy caramel" waffle (a Belgian waffle covered with caramel, apple slices, cinnamon, and crushed almonds) and knew we would be repeat customers before we took our first bites.

The savoury crepes offered (ranging in price from $3.75-$4.99) include two vegetarian options as well as versions containing ham, tuna, and bacon and eggs (and a chicken crepe is in the works).

The sweet options can be eaten on a waffle or a crepe, and range from traditional Belgian waffles and crepes ($2.85) to more adventurous offerings that involve pineapple and coconut, and the aforementioned ice cream explosion ($5.39). We were told a blueberry option is going to be available soon.

Seating is limited to several stools along the front of the shop, but the owners ensure that their creations can easily be taken to-go. Service was extremely friendly and the food is made to order (meaning it is fresh and hot). The owners are receptive to the feedback they receive from customers and are in the midst of updating their menu to include the aforementioned chicken crepes and blueberry waffles/crepes.

Overall they are a welcome addition to London's downtown and worth checking out.
