Last year, Andrew James gave out a work of music instead of candy. Well, I think he gave out candy too. That's not important. What IS important is that this gem had gone overlooked for the most part last year. This isn't due to lack of interest but moreover lack of available copies all hand made by AJ with the help of Leah Sookoo. each of the 30 or so(correct me if i'm wrong AJ) copies were packaged in a felt jack-o-lantern style sleeve over a paper casing to be handed out at our Halloween party last year.
The album itself is brilliant in my opinion and features much of the same sound textures included in AJ's "Music for Tape" installation at The Back Alley Arts Festival this year.
It also features a slew of local musicians including Aaron Simmons (A Horse and His Boy, The Late Miss Mary Kingsley) Sara Froese (Olenka & The Autumn Lovers) AJ's sister Siobhan James-Toth, Sara Strickland and Myself.
AJ has just posted a new myspace page where you can listen to the whole thing.

Yep, there were 30 made. Hand sewn by Leah Sookoo herself. Each Jack-o-latern face was different. Mastered by J.M. Ladd. If anyone would like their own copy of the album in full quality simply e-mail mail me at a.m.james@hotmail.com and I'll gladly supply.
