This week kicks off North by Northeast in Toronto and I must say I was a little disappointed I wasn't able to attend this year. I was however, pleasantly surprised when I opened the website to see on the home page a post about DM Stith, Wooden Wand, Sijie Nes and Inlets.

On Friday this group of musical brilliance will be showcased at the Whippersnapper Gallery in TO. Twenty four hours later that same group will be heading our way to play at 420 Talbot (aka Gigs) - for SEVEN dollars! Check out the link and event for more details.
NXNE is a phenomenal showcase, something to definitely look to for inspiration. Perhaps someday London could facilitate an event of this caliber. Until then, we can just reap the benefits of being two hours down the 401.
